(BOISE) – Idaho based eHealthApp, a subsidiary of Distributed Database Consulting (DDBC) Inc., announced today that four Idaho health insurance carriers—Altius Health Plans, Blue Cross of Idaho, Primary Health, and Regence Blue Shield—have agreed to accept digitally signed applications from the eHealthApp quoting application system.
“We are very pleased that these insurance carriers have agreed to work with us in making the process of obtaining a health insurance quote easier for the consumer,” explained eHealthApp President Ken Gibson. “The paper-based process of filling out applications is needlessly cumbersome and inefficient, causing headaches for consumers, brokers, and insurance companies alike. Our process, which is now paperless from start to finish, benefits the health insurance consumer by making it easier for individuals and groups to do business with brokers and carriers.”
The eHealthApp system allows groups and individuals to fill out online, state-approved “universal” applications, which the four carriers accept for quoting and enrollment. The system provides insurance underwriters with cleaner, more complete applications thanks to the electronic output and data validation measures that require applicants to answer certain questions.
To digitally sign an application, a user simply types their name beneath a legal statement of understanding. Anti-fraud security measures behind the scenes provide information about when and where the application was signed.
Once applications are signed, brokers using eHealthApp can simply transfer electronically generated applications to the insurance carriers with a click of the mouse.
Founded in 2005, Boise-based eHealthApp (www.ehealthapp.com) offers web-based software designed to streamline the process of insurance quoting and enrollment for carriers, brokers, and individual and group consumers. Call 208.947.7292 for a demo or to learn about our free trial period.
